Rene Pereux

CLU, CHFC, CFP, MFA-P | President & Advisor

Rene Pereux entered the financial planning industry in 1975 and over the years has acquired knowledge in all areas from personal insurance planning to complex tax & estate planning.

His experience includes roles as General Manager for a major Canadian Life Insurance Company for 24 years, as well as Founder and Co-CEO of Daystar Financial Group, a leading insurance MGA. Daystar was the fastest growing and one of the largest distributors of life insurance in Canada when it was sold to an International Private Equity Fund.

Rene has had several posts in both national and local industry organizations. Rene has professional memberships with CALU (The Conference for Advanced Life Underwriting), the Certified Financial Planners, the Business Exit Institute and Advocis – The Financial Advisors Association of Canada. He is also a Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and has qualified at its two highest levels – Court of the Table and Top of the Table. Rene has also been on the Insurance Appeal Board since 1985 and is a member of the CALU National Tax Committee.

Rene earned his Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1985. He also earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C.) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designations in 1991 and 1995 respectively. He has also completed his MFA-P designation in Strategic Philanthropy.

Rene has been awarded the honor of being inducted into the Sun Life Financial Hall of Fame. This prestigious honor recognizes those advisors who demonstrate the highest standards of leadership, perseverance, commitment and integrity in helping Canadians in achieving lifetime financial security. Rene enjoys spending time and working with people who are entrepreneurial, building businesses and employing people, because they are the key drivers of our economy. He is also an active fundraiser for the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation and chaired their ‘Starkids’ charity event for 20 years.

Lianne Pereux

BSW, CLU, CHS | Vice-President & Advisor

Lianne’s main passion is working with young entrepreneurs and business owners who are looking to grow and succeed both personally and professionally. Her work focuses on providing custom insurance solutions, tax-planning strategies and risk management strategies to her clients. Lianne’s practice is guided by her dedication to ethics, knowledge and communication.

Lianne has spent her entire life around the insurance industry. Early in her career, Lianne worked with her father in various roles in his insurance firms. She then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Social Work and worked as a counsellor in addictions and mental health for a number of years before deciding to join the family business as a full-time advisor in 2011. Lianne found the transition to insurance planning a natural one as the skills and values she developed as a counsellor are essential to being an effective advisor.

Lianne has earned her Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation, Certified Health Insurance Specialist (CHS) designation and is a member of both the Conference of Advanced Life Underwriting (CALU) and Advocis –The Financial Advisors Association of Canada.

Nancy Arundel

Insurance Solutions Analyst

Nancy entered the Insurance Industry in February 1990 and joined Pereux Insurance Planning in 2002. She has always worked in the corporate insurance market. Nancy is a licensed life advisor, and works in tandem with Rene Pereux in developing and implementing insurance and estate plans for clients.

In her role as Insurance Solutions Analyst, Nancy spearheads our insurance illustrations and spreadsheeting work. As true insurance brokers, we compare plans from all the major insurance companies to provide our clients the best plans, rates and underwriting decisions possible. Nancy brings immense analytical experience to her role, ensuring our clients receive the best advice possible.

Nancy was born and raised on a mixed grain/beef cattle family farm near Wawanesa, Manitoba and much of her early life was spent working on the farm and being active in sports. Outside of work, she is married with two sons and has continued to spend countless hours with her sons in hockey rinks, gyms and at baseball diamonds. She enjoys the outdoors and spends much of her own time running, hiking and skiing.

Daniel Billinkoff

Daniel is an independent insurance advisor who works primarily with families, entrepreneurs and small businesses. Whether you are looking to plan ahead for your children or protect your family against the unforeseen, Daniel is available to offer guidance and a solution.

Daniel is passionate about entrepreneurship, and assisting young professionals is a key part of his practice. He can add value through all stages of business growth, and would love the opportunity to help mitigate risk and protect your business.

Outside of the life insurance world, Daniel is a CrossFit Level 2 trainer, slightly below average golfer, and proud father of two brilliant girls.
